Sorry, there are so many amazing restaurants here that I can’t get it down to 3, especially as I think it depends on what type of food you want on the day and whether you want a special (more expensive) meal, tapas or just a great pizza or some fresh local fish. Here are some of my favourites (in no particular order):
    Barstro, Nazaret
    La Cabaña, Macher
    Naia, Arrecife
    Amendoa, La Santa
    Erik, Playa Honda
    Navarro, Costa Teguise
    Nina, Costa Teguise
    Meson La Jordana, Costa Teguise
    Montmartre, Costa Teguise
    Bacchus, Costa Teguise
    Casa Felix, Costa Teguise
    Vaca Loca, Costa Teguise
    Romantica, Playa Blanca

I forget to include Los Aljibes in Tahiche – great for meat lovers and with beautiful Cesar Manrique designed gardens

I’ll try to narrow down sue’s list. My no. 1 would be La cabana. Worth the journey and in my opinion better than Navarro. Food and presentation are both great but ambience in Cabana is better. if you don’ t want to travel try Navarro. You will need to book at both theses restaurants and they are a bit pricier than any of the others. for tapas and a much lower budget try Felix.the host will give you a great welcome the tapas is lovely and very reasonably pricedand there is a sea view from the terrace. Live music Friday and Saturday. Montmartre offers another different dining experience with a set menu of 2 or3 courses or full a la carte. Service is very good and food is good too.mIt is priced between Felix and the other two.
We also love las Maretas. the service is very slow but if you avoid the 7.00-8.00pm rush it can be fine. No need to book at lunch time but will need to book for evening. Top value for money brilliant steak, lots of specials and family run by Domingo and his wife plus two others. If you can be patient, I heartily recommend. 4very different types of restaurant varying in price and style. Try them all if you can and let me know which is your favourite.

Hi Guys, sorry to Hijack this question but as Sue and Kevin have great Knowledge as you have both helped me in he past. Where is Montmatre? been to Il Navarro is it anywhere near there?

    many Thanks

Montmartre is about 5 minutes from Navarro. Turn left out of Navarro and walk to the end of the parade of shops. Turn left and walk along the side of the Santa Rosa Hotel with Los Molinos on your right. When you reach the main road (Avenida De Las Palmeras), turn right and walk past the bank, the Mill and the Movistar shop. Montmartre is just a little further along on the same side

Found out today that Meson La Jordana is closing down on Tuesday, so that’s one off my list.

    • Kitty on Aug 22, 2014

Sue, is Jordana closing for good? Please tell me it isn’t so.

  12. Sue on Aug 22, 2014

Sorry Kitty, but they are. Juan and Fransisco are retiring and Tuesday is their last night, I have booked to go tomorrow night for the last time. Such a terrible loss to the island as I don’t know any other restaurant like it here

Oh no, gutted, terrible news. We have been going there since the day they opened and it is/was definately one of a kind. They will be sorely missed.

  13. Sue on Aug 22, 2014

I agree, we are gutted too, although after 26 years they deserve a rest. I’m sure it will be an emotional last dinner for us there tomorrow night

I’m coming in late on this as I’ve been away in France but must add my regrets at La Jordana closing down. Definitely one of the best and oldest restaurants in CT.
