They were removed back in December after the company running them lost the contract, as and when they will return is anyone’s guess.

Like many on here the beach looks better with out them

Thanks for your answers. I agree it does look better without them. I have been going to CT for twenty years and have only been on the beach twice (when the kids were young).

Because the council want millions of euros for the franchise and negotiations are ongoing. They have said the beds will be back by summer but believe them if you want.

I think the same happened in PDC a year or so ago it took months before sunbed returned to the beach there, since then I read that the company that were running them no longer does and the council has taken over the running of them.

Steve, the latest update on the sunbeds from the tourism office of costa teguise is as follows:-
        “Señor Dave,
El ayuntamiento de Teguise va a intentar que al final del mes de Junio estén
        de nuevo las tumbonas.
        Saludos cordiales,”

which translates to that they are trying to get the sunbeds back on the beaches by the end of June.

        lets see what happens.
the trick is they did not say what year

    Thanks Dave
we will have to see what happens, like the foot path work that should of been finished April 2013 and that’s still on going.

any way may be by the time we go in October if not before the sunbeds will be out and path work finished.
