You have time to see lots of good places in 3 days. I suggest the Cesar Manrique foundation, the caves, fire mountain, mirador del rio and papagayo beach. Best thing to do is pick up a magazine like Lancelot or Lanzarote Gazette which have suggested routes to take for sightseeing and opening times for galleries etc

I would hire a car and travel something along the lines of……

For the South I would drive through the Timanfaya National Park and the coast line at El Golfo, taking in the Los Hervideros and Salinas along that coast. Drop down to Playa Blanca with a stop at Papagayo beaches for a chill out. Drive through Femes, taking in the view from the balcony and the traditional town of Yaiza.

For the middle, you have to taste the local Lanzarote wines so drive from Uga to San Bartolome stopping at one or two of the bodegas along the way. Explore the Monumento Campesino in the centre of the island before driving down through La Santa, Soo and Famara taking time out to stop at this fantastic beach. Visit Cesar Manrique’s house in Tahiche and Lag O Mar in Nazaret.

For the North, stop first in the old capital of Teguise for the architecture and cobbled streets, take the road over the top through Los Valles, up to the Mirador of Haria – stop here for the view. If you want to stretch your legs, walk to the Bosquecillo picnic area with views down to Famara. Drop down into Haria for a coffee before continuing on through Maguez up to the Mirador del Río taking the narrow coast road looping back to Ye for stunning views. Drop down the hill to Orzola and take the coast road through the villages of Punta Mujeres and Arrieta. There are lots of visitor attractions such as the jameos del agua, mirador del rio, jardin de cactus and cueva de los verdes on this route.

Timanfaya park is by best it is a great sight looks like the mooon. Well worth a trip. If the bus us a double decker try and sit on the top deck you get the best views.
