What is the name of your favourite hotel you like to stay at ?

Asked by: 15th January 2011

My girlfriend and I are going to Lanzarote on 8 June for 7 days… I spent hours on the net trying to find a nice budget hotel in Lanzarote…

There are so many hotels! I don’t know what to choose! Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

you will find it difficult to find a bad one, check the maps if you want to be close to the night life and beaches.

You will find it probably impossible to find a bad hotel in Lanzarote. If you decide to stay in Puerto Del Carmen then La Penita is a good choice, its central and close to everything you will need from shops to bars/resturants.

In Costa Teguise then I can recommend the Galeon Playa Apartments, they are cheap but good. Check out www.booking.com for any hotel accommodation in Lanzarote as I have found them to be the cheapest.

I am already looking forward to returning to Lanzarote in November 2011!!!!

Stayed at the Lanzarote Bay once and that was OK even though a bit of the beaten track, stayed at Los Zocos around 7 times, great location (would only recommend self catering though) the food is not the best but OK. Now that they gave upgraded most of the appartments as well it is much better, never saw the horror cockroach stories that appear on some sites……

Love Lanzarote but as the Euro has dipped I have found it much harder to come out there

the sister hotel teguise playa quite nice stayed couple of times, ideal part about this hotel just a 10 metre walk from the beach

I’ve stayed at Celeste, i liked it there, very near to the square, but lovely and peaceful.
Also stayed at Galeon, love it there, great location right next to beach.

I’ve stayed at quite few Apartments in CostA Teguise, the Galeon Playa is nice, Teguisol is really good but about a 15 minute walk into town and the Santa Rosa is very nice, again not too far from town.

We’ve stayed at the Celeste Apartments in Costa Teguise, Very quiet yet it’s only a couple of hundred yards to the main square. On a similar price scale was Sol apartments in the middle of the town. Occidental Oasis is on the outskirts of Costa Teguise, about half hour walk in to town. Very good, nice food! The Riu in Puerta Del Carmen is fantastic, right opposite a fantastic beach, but a bit pricey! Our son and daughter in law stayed at the Santa Rosa and they will be back this year. As is said above, I think you would struggle to find a bad hotel. Go on, book it! You won’t be sorry!

You would be very unfortunate to find a bad place to stay in Costa Teguise. My brother has stayed in Celeste and had a very nice spacious apartment. Although the pool area was crowded, you are only minutes from the beautiful Cucharas beach so dont let that put you off. Celeste apartments are reasonably priced, are very central close to the old Pueblo Marinero (old square) where a typical evening spend in the local restaurants and bars is a must. Market night on Fridays adds to the atmosphere. Local Market for food locally produced is I think on Thursday or Tuesdays. I am sure just like my family, you will return time and time again. Cockroaches, yes, but hey they have to live somewhere, and are no worse than any other creepy crawlies you find.

Oceana apartments are fantastic just returned from there and didnt realise Costa Teguise would be so cheap. Lots of people A/I and I cant understand why when the prices are so low with all the bars and restuarants under cutting each other.

I agree the Oceana are nice, fabulous central location. Really nice pool bar, my only critisism is the sunbeds dont have adjustable backs, so you can lay down but not sit up and read, and they have no cushions so they are very hard, alot of people bought lilos to go on top!

I found the Nazaret apartments best so far.
Also good, Oceana, and Punta Jabillo
