What are best eating places in Teguise these days?

Asked by: 18th January 2011

Also is there a decent Indian or are you best to avoid such restaurants?

You mean “Teguise”, the ex-capital of the island ? or “Costa Teguise”, the tourist resort ?

If you want to try traditional spanish food, then go to “Kerman La Pikada/RePikada”, both are in Costa Teguise.

Repikada is Avenida Islas Canarias 5, and La Pikada is same street but number 28. Highly recommended 🙂

My favourite restaurant is Casa Blanca, excellent food and the best service. We also love el Patio in the square for the same reason.
There is an Indian restaurant Taj Mahal the food is good, but because you are paying for all the extras, like rice naan ect it was more expensive overall than most of the other restaurants. It lacked atmosphere as it was very quiet, but nice for a change!

La Jordana on Calle de Los Geranios is excellent. A good place for lunch is Villa Toledo on Bastian Beach but be warned, its a fantastic setting however the food and service is very hit and miss. Sometimes its really good and sometimes its really bad. There is a great tapas bar opposite Coronas on Ave del Mar.

I agree with Kitty. We have been to Villa Toledo about four times and had an excellent meal both at lunchtime and in the evening but we took four of our friends there last September and the waiter was sooo rude and the service was awful. We were very embarrassed.I said I would never return ,but probably will as the good out-weights the bad. However the Villa Toledo has a sister restaurant. The Vesubio, which is underneath the Neptuno apartments just across the road from Jablillo beach . The menu is almost the same and we have found the service to be excellent and the views are just as good as from the Toledo, also when we have visited Vesubio there have been many Spanish people eating there, which is always a good sign to me. Hope this helps.

El Maestro past the Lighthouse is worth a visit. tip- don’t order your main meal until after you’ve had your starter.

Pescador in the main sqaure, Pueblo Marinaro.
La Vaca Loca on the main road just outside the square if you enjoy a good steak. Both are excellent.
Agree about the Italian opposite El Patio, called Divina Italia. Very good.
