weather next week in Lanzarote ?

Asked by: 1st April 2013

Hello, I am thinking of booking a very last minute holiday for myself and my two daughters to Lanzarote, leaving on this Thursday for a week.  I’ve just had a look at the forecast and it looks cool and cloudy.  This will be our first holiday for 8 years so we are desperate for some sun and to be able to have a dip in the sea.  Sorry if it’s a daft question, but how accurate are the forecasts?  I’ve been tracking the weather and it looks like it’s been lovely, but now it seems to be cooling off.  The bbc weather forecast says it will be warm but all the local ones say not?

Look at the webcam and the live one in the Beach Bar (in Costa Teguise). How many times is the weather forecast 100% accurate anywhere?

    Don’t ‘dilly-dally’ – just book it.

Enjoy your holiday because its your first in 8 years and if the weather is glorious, its a bonus.

as above!! lol it was 30 degrees on our terrace today and there are a lot of very lobster like people walking around cos they think cloud means no sunburn!! the cloud cover here is very thin so don’t worry book it and get packed, cardi for evenings temp drops with the sun set

Jude, many years ago before Sunscreen was invented or was it because i was to mean to buy it, we were staying in PDC Feb 1991.
Because there was a cloud cover i had no problem lying out for hours by the pool.
That night i was walking like a robot, small jerky movements and in agony Never again will i look at clouds and think i’m ok.

Have a great time Gail and let us know how you got on!

I want to ‘like’ your comment Gail, but am waiting to find out.

Hope that you have the best time ever but watch out for the sun. I always have my hair a bit longer so that it can be tied back into a ponytail because of the breeze/wind 🙂

This may be the start of the ‘Lanzarote addiction’ for you.

Seriously though, I hope that you really enjoy yourselves. x

Thank you! Went out in the freezing wind today to try and buy some summer clothes – very strange. Will report back after our lovely holiday. x

The fact that you are asking this question on this website means you must have access to the internet, why don’t you google weather in Lanazarote for the next week, or try the BBC weather website/
