Beaches are very safe for kids.

It gets very warm but be careful of the breeze, you can easily be misled and not realise you are being burnt to a cinder. Keep the wee one covered up and plastered with sun block especially in the middle of the day and you’ll be fine.

From april, the trade winds start, and it will be probably quite windy on the main beach of Costa Teguise called Playa de las Cucharas. Best choice is to go at Playa del Jablillo, close to hotel Occidental Teguise Playa, its very quiet area, and nice small lagoon with no shorebreak.

The beaches in Costa Teguise are great for kids. They are not massive so you can always keep your eye on the little one. Take a look at the webcam of Cucharus beach and you will see that it does not get absolutely packed. There is plenty of space for children to play. As for the heat, I agree with everything Frank says. The almost constant breeze is lovely but you can burn very quickly if you don’t take care.

Los Zocos is close to both Cucharas and Jabillo as mentioned by Michael. I agree with him that Jabillo is probably better for small children

Hi denise los zocos is across the road from the beach. If you turn left out of los zocos and walk down to sands beach resort cut through the entrance past the barriers to the small beach down there its nice and safe.los zocos is nice we stay at sands beach-check it out great for kids, tequise doesnt get busy think you will like it.
