Views on Oasis Lanz Club ?

Asked by: 7th May 2013 , ,

Going to CT in four weeks (cant wait) |B

Last year we stayed at Celeste which were in a great location but found pool to be a bit on the small side.  We have also stayed at El Trebol but for us is at the wrong end of CT (no pleasing some people lol)

Thinking of booking a room at Oazis Lanz Club & would be interested in views from anyone that has stayed in them.   Thanks 🙂

We have stayed here and I’ll be honest and say we wouldn’t stay again, however it all depends on what you want. We had a one bed apartment on the ground floor at the back of the complex. We stayed in high season (August) but even then our apartment didn’t see much sun. There were nowhere near enough sunbeds around the pool and this led to people getting up at 6 a.m. to reserve them! We are “beach people” and it didn’t really affect us, but just something to bear in mind though may not be a problem in June.

The apartment was quite basic and cleaning was hit and miss. My 7 year old was sick one Saturday night when we were there and unfortunately it went in the bed. I knew there was no cleaning on Sunday, so I went to reception and explained what had happened. They gave me clean sheets and asked me to leave the soiled ones in the bidet where someone would collect them. Despite me asking again (several times) they weren’t removed until Tuesday, even though the cleaner had come in on Monday!

There are two pools, not heated, but not a bad size, one on each side of the apartments and a small pool bar which provided entertainment some evenings (though not everyone could fit in!)

However – they are in a great location, and if you aren’t going to be there that much then it might be worth a punt! Otherwise, I’d recommend the Nazarets which are just over the road – nicer apartments in general, cleaned regularly and fresh bread rolls left hanging on your apartment door every morning.

Thanks Cat – really appreciate your thoughts. We basically spend very little time in the room wherever we decide to stay, but do like to have 1 or 2 days round the pool, but as you say, June may be a bit quiter than August so hopefully, getting a sunbed might not be a problem!

I will deffo have a look at the Nazarets.

Being a BREAD LOVER I think that your last comment may just have sealed the deal lol 🙂
    Thanks again

We are coming to CT again next week and will be staying at Mansion Nazaret for the 3rd time. Have never had a problem always clean and tidy. Staff very helpful but just to be aware that there are steps to most apartments. Nothing excessive but might be a consideration if you are carrying small children or have poor mobility. Fantastic location and not noisy at night. Roll on the next 9 days!!!

Lisa, I’ve stayed in both Nazaret and Oasis Lanz and to be honest there’s not a lot to choose between them. Cat your comments on Oasis Lanz are very harsh, perhaps one of your kids becoming unwell has clouded your judgement and this can happen anywhere.

I found both places clean and much on a par with each other. They are both pretty basic but are clean and have all you need for a good holiday. They are only 100 yards apart so location is not a factor in choosing between them. In the end of the day it’s down to personal choice but I’d be happy to stay in either of them.

I’m back in 4 weeks time and staying only another 100 yards away from the OL in my own personal favourite appartments but wont share their name so as not to fuel the debate.

No matter where you stay you’ll have a great time.

Never stayed in Nazaret but stayed in OL Many many times, only ever had cause to Complain to reception once, and problem was quickly sorted.

We have stayed at the OL 3 times and cannot complain, yes the rooms were not cleaned everyday but we have stayed in several other complexes and the rooms are not cleaned every day. There are 2 pools the one at the back is heated believe me I know I was in it with my grand-daughter at the end of November 2012. We had a really great room sun all day on the balcony, but on another occasion I we stayed we only got the sun in the morning it all depends what position your room is but this applies to all complexes. We go to Costa Teguise March & November at that time there is never a problem with sun loungers. We have also stayed at the Nazaret and though they were also ok. Both the OL and Nazaret are in a great central position.

Thank you all for your great feedback – it is very much appreciated.

After weighing up both OL & Nazaret I have to agree that they do both seem very similar but I am gonna go with my initial thoughts & book a 2 bedroom at the Oasis Lanz. =D

    Bet you cant wait Graham.
& Frank, it looks like we will be neighbours lol 🙂

We had a 2 bedroom apartment room 330 it was great sun most of the day lovely view right over to the cruise ships. Sun loungers on the balcony, large table and 6 chairs. Dishwasher, fridge freezer, 2 bathrooms so much room, overlooking the heated pool. Just don’t get pulled into the Grand Holiday talk( time share in the complex).

    Hi Marian:

Thanks for your reply & all of the positive comments. I hope one of the pools is heated during our visit!

Will avoid the “Grand Holiday” talk like the plague – thanks for the tip!
