Traffic Lights ?

Asked by: 21st July 2011

On our travels within Lanzarote we sometimes come across what appear to be traffic lights that flash orange but are completely confuzed as to what it means. we now try and steer clear but this lengthens our journeys somewhat! A little advice would be useful!

They are generally found in areas where they are trying to calm traffic they are not a prob when u get to them they will flash amber nothing at all to be weary of

Those amber flashing lights are “caution” indicators. That is you are to proceed at a ‘Slower” speed; if traffic is clear and be prepared to stop.

Those lights are like the flashing orange ones outside schools or crossings in the uk, but with a red light so you have to slow to almost a stop as you approach. They then flash orange for you to proceed with caution. Like the previous comments have said its a traffic calming measure.
