Snorkeling equipment shop in Costa Teguise?

Asked by: 10th February 2011

I just found out our masks and pipes are broken after last summer trip. We are flying to Lanzarote after tomorrow. So, should I drive to the city now, trying to get new masks and pipes, or is it any shop in CT when I will get good quality masks? I don’t mean these plastic ones in shops with post-cards/ souvenirs, but kind of sport-shop, where I will get something reliable (not professional quality – but I want us, and especially my daughter, to be safe, and see some fish 🙂 ).

Go and see Michi and Goetz in the Big Blue Sea diving centre near Playa Jablillo, they are in the shops as part of the Hotel Galeon Playa and speak good English.

Thanks a lot Jules, I found their www site after your advice, and wrote e-mail. Michi already answered, so I definitely don’t need to drive anywhere now… just to go there in CT.
    Thank you!!!

Calipso Diving,It’s been there for years and is round the corner from The Red Lion and a couple of doors from the drag show place.
It is worth paying that bit extra for a good mask and snorkel because you can get one that fits well and it will last for years(the one I dive in is probably 12 years old)

Oh, sounds like there are some shops with this equipment in CT. Great, definitely we will find something for us 🙂
You are right Nick – I don’t want these cheapest ones, even if we use them twice a year or so only… of course, not most expensive ones too, but it is good to feel safe and comfortable…
