Asked by: 12th November 2013

Hi, can anyone tell me if the restaurant next to Cactus Jacks is any good.  I’m told is is Argentinian but not sure.  Also can anyone recommend a good Indian restaurant.

Thanks

Gracie, we had a meal at this restaurant a couple of years ago, not sure what there nationality of the waiters were, all we know is that they also spoke spanish. must admit the food was excellent, and it looked as though they had quite a few diners who returned there on a regulat basis
    thanks

We were there in Sept this year and had a lovely Indian meal. The name escapes me just know but it is on the beachfront next to the cutty sark pub and in the place where the crazy lounge used to be.They are a chain and have restaurants in Puerto Calero and Puerto Del Carmen. They also had an early doors menu 6 – 7pm. Starter, Main, Rice or naan, dessert and coffee was 9 euro.
There is also the Amber 11 on avenida Jablillo above the Jumbo chinese. Haven’t tried here but it gets good reviews and they also have a set menu for a low cost.

the restaurant next door to cactus jacks is now an argentinian grill, been open a few months but i noticed yesterday they are putting new signs up on it, that say road house grill, no change inside so think they are just rebranding it, the other signs were a bit confusing, never eaten there but it looks good, very clean and prices reasonable.
the indian on the seafront is called fazz.

Amber11 is closed for holidays, dates not known,Jumbo could become tex mex soon, fazz has had some poor reviews. Will check out when in CT.

Fazz is ok . I would avoid the set menu as there is very little protein. like all Indian restaurantsin Lanzarote the prices are eye watering compared to the UK but quality of food is good at Fazz . Try tandoori spice in CT if you want a more intimate and possibly authentic meal.

I had a couple of great Indian’s at the steak house in the square just around the corner from El Patio during the summer. Don’t be put off by the restaurant name. They had an Indian chef there at the time and he was doing the Indian menu provided.
