Recent Changes in Letting Laws could be really bad for all businesses in Lanzarote?

Hello to all on the forum.
I have been coming to Lanzarote for 26 years and have a home in Costa Teguise, which I do not rent out….
However, have you all seen this latest law that, if not appealed successfully, could have really far reaching consequences for all who benefit from having tourists on the Island?
I love reading all the questions and answers on this forum and really dont want to start any debate about how this will now benefit hotels more and put an end to those who rent apartments and Villa’s ‘illegally’ but the impact of this legisaltion could really damage the Island and all who earn from it.
A response needs to be made by the 24th July and if you feel that Property owners in Lanzarote should be able to holiday let their properties or you have a business or work in a sector that might be affected by this legislation, sign this petition and get your friends to sign it too – they need 5000 signatures. Like I said, really dont want to start any debate on this as there will be arguments for and against but thought I would bring it to your attention for you to decide.
Thank you all for your time in reading this
