Asked by: 11th December 2014

We are arriving on New Years Eve and were wondering what is the best time to get down to The Square for the celebrations?

Thanks Tom, unfortunately my flight does not land until just after midday!! Was thinking more about the evening as we have a 15 month old to entertain! I understand that they have fireworks at Cucharas beach so would really like to see them?

Tony. I haven’t spent New Year’s Eve in Lanzarote for quite a few years but there always used to be fireworks in front of the Las Salinas hotel and that fits in with what Karen says below

    Hi there,
We’ve done New Years Eve in Lanzarote twice and will be there again this Year. We spend it around the main bars on the sea front (Cutty Sark) where everyone at midnight line the promenade to watch the fireworks from hotels and the beach. Its a lovely evening and everyone is welcome. Alot of the bars stop serving food at 8pm so that they can get ready to accommodate as many members of the public as possible. Its an amazing atmosphere.
