    Hi Steve,

Depends what you mean by ‘best’ really – what are you looking for?

We like Galeon Playa because of its location (just across the road from the Teguise Playa) – 1 minute walk (fast) to the nearest beach, near the shops, buses, taxis, etc. I couldn’t comment on the Kids’ Club, Bar or the Entertainment though. Clean place with friendly, helpful staff. So that is the ‘best’ for us these days.

When our daughter was little (a while ago) we went to ‘Los Zocos’ for their Kids Club and Mini Disco and we joined in the boules, archery, rifle shooting etc with Kim, but not every day. So that was the ‘best’ then.

Our first visit was to the Tuscan and although everything there was OK – it was too far for our daughter to walk everywhere with her little legs 🙂

So, it depends what you are looking for….. hope you have a good time wherever you end up.

    Wendy

P.S. We have always been self-catering

      Hi Wendy,

We have stayed at the Galleon Playa a few years ago and found it quite good as well. We have booked the Teguise Playa for November as we have children that are too old to hang out with mum and dad. I think the location of both hotels is great so hopefully the Teguise Playa is will be as good as it looks in the brochure.

      Thanks

      Steve

Hi Steve, may i suggest you look on trip advisor and read the impartial reviews about this hotel, We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions in the past . But we have found better Hotels in the same area . The main appeal for this hotel is it’s location , and all rooms have a sea view . Hope this of help to you.

      Hi Peter,

      Thanks for your reply,

Please let me know which hotels you think are better in the same area as the Teguise Playa? We can have a look in November when we go to Lanzarote as we plan to go again next year.

      Thanks

      Steve

Hi Steve , When we were in C.T. in March we stayed at the Luabay just across the road from the Teguise Playa. Without trying to upset the loyal Teguise Playa patrons on this site, we had a bad experience last time at the T.P. September 2012 for 14 nights A.I The food is always very good, but , the room was in need of desperate decoration , broken floor tiles , damaged bathroom fitments , and very tired generaly. What realy annoyed us that the No Smoking policy only applies to the British , we were informed by the receptionist that the whole complex was now no smoking even the outside area by the pool bar and they did not provide ashtrays , but while eating our Breakfast outside one morning a group of Spanish guests started to smoke at the tables , something which has never been allowed here ( we have been to this hotel 5 times in total) in the previous 2 years. It really is a matter of personal choice and our choice is the Luabay. Once again may i refer you to Trip Advisor also take time to look at the visitors photographs cameras don’t lie.
