Is Lanzarote hot beginning of June?

Asked by: 22nd May 2013

Hi everyone

Going to lanzarote beginning of June for 2 weeks. Will it be hot by then? The weather forecast at the moment is cloudy which isn’t sunbathing weather!

    Hi Emily

I would always take the forecasts with a pinch of salt. We were there in April and the forecast said partially cloudy 24 degrees. The thermometer at the villa peaked at 32 degrees in the shade!

I am sure you will have a great holiday even if you do have the odd cloudy morning.

    Hi Emily,

    We’ve just come back 🙁

Although it might be cloudy sometimes, the sun still comes through don’t forget so you can still sunbathe – it was most definitely warm enough. Plenty of people were by the pool just enjoying the weather. We have had some really hot days and were glad of a bit of cloud (and the breeze).

I too needed a blanket at night (but I can’t sleep with just a sheet covering me) and needed my 3-quarter sleeve t-shirt to cover my arms which were a bit delicate after a couple of days in the sun. I didn’t need my long sleeve cardigan this time though, which is probably a first!

If you feel its too windy, try Playa Bastian as the sand is more volcanic and a bit heavier so you won’t be sand-blasted the same was as you can feel on Jabillo or Cucharas!

    @ David.
We had a great time thanks and hope you did too. We didn’t stay around the apartments – tend to walk round the beach path to the Tuscan or the other way past Sands (Lanzarote Beach Club for us old ones 🙂 ) and sunbathe on whichever beach takes our fancy.

We ate out at so many places we hadn’t been to before and have put others on the list for ‘next time’. Until then, will have to be content to gaze and the webcam and daydream 🙂 Hasta luego.

Hi. Simple answer.Lanzarote is hot 12 months of the year. Sometimes very hot but always hot. Caution .Even with cloud cover the sun still burns. Lots of people find this hard to beleive and as a result lots of people get burnt on cloudy days. Be warned….
