Is it difficult to find jobs in Costa Teguise?

Asked by: 31st January 2011

I am a 30 year old girl from Sweden who would like to take six month/one year off from school and go to Costa Teguise for work My Spanish is unfortunately not very good but I hope that I can manage with my English? I can imagine myself working at the beach, hotels, shopping centers, bars and restaurants. Maybe someone can give me a hint who I can contact? Thanks in advance! sofia

Not sure its the best time, unemployment in Canary Islands is higher than in any other region in Spain, and its around 30% on Lanzarote (source: Canarian Institute of Statistics).

    Hi Sofia,
I believe there is work for those who want to work,
I am sure you will find a job but wages are low,
there is another site lanzarote information who advertise jobs,
Also if you google lanzarote gazette it opens a page by page magazine
and there are jobs advertised in there,
Hope this helps, and you never know you may be pulling me a pint on my next visit,
    Davey Brid

sofia, try emailing the H10 lanzarote gardens, they are nearly always recruiting multi lingual staff for entertainment etc, spanish not always neccessary but english plus another language eg german/swedish will be a huge advantage to you. good luck
