How much money do I need per day in Puerto del Carmen ?

Asked by: 12th June 2012

a friend and I are going to puerto del Carmen for two weeks, self-catering next month. How much money per day do you think we need? We will be drinking in the evening but we only plan to buy food. We don’t plan to go on any trips or buy souvenirs. We just want to buy food and drink. It would be really helpful if you could suggest a ballpark figure 🙂

hi poppy, me and my partner go to costa tequise each year for 2 weeks self catering and we each take 700 euro, i come back with roughly 100 euro, sometimes more and i only buy some booze to bring back as its really cheap. my partner doesnt bring much back as she buys random stuff, woman stuff lol but on average we budget about 50 euro each per day and sometimes it could be under or slightly over but as a rough figure its around that. hopee this helps. we go in 19 days 🙂

it depends what you are going to buy. i know you said food but will you cooking yourself or going out for every meal. when i go with the family 2 adults and 2 teenagers £1000 normally does for 2 weeks just for food and drink we normally eat in half the time and eat out the rest. if you want to go on trips and buy suvoneirs then more money will be required . hope this helps.

As with anything, the amount of money you spend will depend on the type of holiday you want…Its easy enough to manage your budget if your are only there for drink, food and fun…you can get cheap beers and spirits in any spar or alternative supermarket (just stock up and have some drinks before heading into the town)

In terms of food, there are so many places in PDC fighting for custom that most offer a full menu of food for less than 10 euro (eg, some chinese restaurants offer 3 course meals for 10 euro)

Also, there are loads of places that offer take aways such as Capri (pizza place) Goofys (chicken place) among others, all at dirt cheap prices.. by taking away it means you can eat in your apt while drinking the cheap booze u got from the supermarket, great way to budget..then just land out to the clubs and bars, taking advantage of the PR guys who will always offer you deals to get you into their place.

Hope you have a good time, wish i was going back this year.
