Normal British Pub with friendly staff and Amstel lager at 2 euros which is cheap for a good lager. Great if you are staying at the Celeste apartments behind because you can access the bar from the swimming pool area.

been costa teguise many times, last couple of years stayed in the Celeste next to the highlander used the bar quite a lot, found it to be very nice and friendly. The owner Gary serves a nice breakfast and has a very good and varied evening meal menu.both his food and alcohol prices compare favourably with most of the bars in costa teguise.Evening entertainment is normally karaoke or quizzes or if you prefer you can just sit outside and watch the world go bye while enjoying your pint or glass of wine,If its your first time in costa teguise I am sure you will have a good time, plenty to do and plenty to see and the best beach in Lanzarote.enjoy.

Had a few pints with Ray in the Highlander in June – how you doing Ray !

As Ray says it’s a good friendly bar with reasonable prices. Pop in and have a good time.

2000 miles for a normal British pub and karaoke. Why bother ?

John, I could have answered by simply saying “the sun”. But I tend to agree, you would have to lasso me and drag me into a bar like this in the evening. However, if you are out for a stroll in the daytime and fancy a drink then it serves a purpose. Also, if you support a fantastic team like Reading as I do, it’s a convenient spot to watch the football.

Tom you would have to lasso me if you expect me to watch Reading even the karaoke looks a better bet than Reading the more you try to defend the H/Bar the more you have put me off
Now where are all those nice Spanish bars in the other resorts

Tom,John, Dawna asked had anyone been to the highlander, obviously by your responses both of you haven’t,so why the negative slants,

Em excuse me mr,, I only asked a question, not been there and I certainly never slanted the highlander.. I only asked for reviews,,

Ray, miss understood your reply sorry

Ray, not sure if I have understood your posting but to clarify. I have used the Highlander bar numerous times as is clear from what I have said. For me I think it is a great daytime bar but not for me in the evening. I don’t think that is a negative slant.

Tom what is the problem in the evenings to many drunks ?

  12. John Trengrove on Aug 05, 2013

Think you missed what Tom stated Ray he seems to have been in the HB because he knows there friendly staff and the price of there lager.
I have not been in the HB but my comment still stands 2000 miles for a English pub and karaoke why bother

criticism of how people enjoy harmless entertainment on holiday by a peanut brain who cannot even spell “their” correctly is a comment not worth reading :0(

Well David sorry if there is not to your liking but I have always been a rubbish sphellor.
Now I am just wondering if you found your false teeth if not don’t forget to check if there not in your mouth
Losing a set of teeth wow your brain must be a lot smaller than a peanut
What you like on the karaoke without your pegs in ?
