Stayed there this september for two weeks, we last stayed there July 2010 , in all honesty very little has changed the decor is still faded and still worn carpets in corridors and stairs, Room 202 broken floor tiles, cracked sink, stained walls, In all fairness we were advised by Jet2 that the hotel had been downgraded from 4* to 3* . They have changed the carpets in the main bar area. The top floor has been modernised they will charge extra for these rooms. Food still good and plenty to choose from . They now have a selective smoking policy you cannot smoke anywhere in the hotel grounds unless you are Spanish ! We spent most night out of the hotel , La vida across the road is a good night with live music., Hope this helps

We have just returned from the Teguise Playa, it was our first stay since it was taken over, agree with all of the above but would like to add the food choice was not as good, by that I mean there was not many evenings when there was a joint of meat being carved instead processed common Steaks or stir fry wraps was the choice of the day, having said that still had a great stay
