We were thinking of lunch at the harbour. Is this possible?

Hi tracey, yes Puerto callero is well worth a visit. the harbour/quay side has lots of really nice bars where you can get something to eat, ranging from fish and chips, to indian, to authentic spanish food. Or just grab a cold drink, kick back and relax and watch the world go by.

they also do quite a few boat trips from there and the Catlanza sails from there to Papagayo on a great day trip, swimming off the boat and drinking lots of Sangria. All in all a great place to visit.

And one last important tip before you go, take plenty of your stale left over bread to feed the many different types of fish tha school in large numbers in the harbour off the jetty.

Oh, and wear sun scree. 🙂

Enjoy your trip and have a drink for us.

Definately worth a visit !.. For all the reasons Jo has outlined above . . . There is a real nice atmosphere about the place and in my opinion is one of the little jewels on Lanzarote that must be visited… You wont regret it.

I agree with all the comments above. There’s also a market there now on Tuesdays and Fridays from 10 til 2, so there’s usually an even nicer atmosphere there on those days
