So many things to be honest, a visit to the square in the evening is a must, a drink in Magma bar, he does amazing Champagne sangria, and a drink called sparkling Amaretto, he does the cheapest beer as well and its not the usual tourist bar. Most of those are located on the sea front, all except Marcelo’s Bodega which is a hidden gem a bit of culure amongst the chaos of Brit bars. Lovely wine here. So many places for a meal out personally love Portabello a great Italian. walking is fab here so flat and a great promenade, walk along the front along the coast in direction of Aricife, its all paved and stop at La Toledo for a coffee and a faboulous view. I know this all seems aboout eating and drinking haha have a good time

        Hi,
Oh you will love it I discovered Lanzarote for the first time last year, the only reason we ended up here was a quick last minute break, I was dubious at first as my sons wife’s parents go here quite a lot but a different resort think you get the drift of where I am going on that haha… going back in April again and cant wait

Avoid the Asian Electrical shops. Visit Ceaser Manriques house close to CT, hire a car and travel the island much cheaper way to see the island than the organised tours. Finally you must try canarian potatoes with mojo sauce, absolutely to die for. Hope this helps and have a great time.

One week is just not enough. Weather has been very poor for the last month but is on the up now. expect it to be very warm in the sun and the wind is chilly at night.there was a guy playing a harp at the above mentioned bodega today- very atmospheric. even better, they were giving away free samples of sangria. hope you enjoy your stay. Next time book in to a self catering establishment and take the opportunity of sampling the vast number of quality restaurants in CT.

Many thanks Kevin. Hope your weather predication holds out. A week was all we could manage at this time but who knows. The harp sounds good…. as well as the drinks.

Whatever you do don’t just sit in the hotel or on the beach , Take a car or trip to see the fire mountains and have lunch in the restaurant overlooking the national park , Go see Jamous Del Aqua and the green caves , Take a trip to the market on Sunday and if you like History take a trip up Santa Barbara Castle on the hill opposite. Mirador Del Rio has a lovely view. Haria has a lovely craft market on a Saturday morning and Purto del Calero is nice to see the boats. Papaygyo Beaches are nice to visit too , As someone else said one week is not enough !!!!
