Few tips help ?

Asked by: 15th March 2015 ,

Hello everyone!

i’m planning a holiday to Lanzarote with my gf and 5 friends; we just booked the flight tickets, days are aug 1st-10th  (only period free from our work). Despite the “hot days”, we’re looking for a “safe” holiday, wondering to meet the authentic Lanzarote side: relax, nature, quite secluded and genuine spots/beaches/coves, breathtaking views, local typical food and wine in easy-going restaurant and tavernas.

I think we’ll book the apt/villa through Airbnb, i use to use it and i love its aspect of getting in touch with the owners, and because this means to us higher possibility to find real private houses with private areas etc. .

We’re also thinking about the idea of 1-2 nights on La Graciosa, of course because even more immaculate, so a must in our research of….nothing. I see there will be some problems, due to the same aspect i’ve just mentioned as what i want, in finding accomodation (nothing… means nothing), but I hope we’ll find a solution.

I’ll be gratefull if someone woluld be so nice to give me/us some advice about the best areas to stay on the island/s, about houses for rent, about tavernas, about must-see coves (I personally love crystal waters in hidden corners).

I love travelling and living the places I travel to, I’m pretty sure someone of the readers can understand the kind of holiday I’m thinking about.

Thank you for the attention.

Best regards!

    – On the way to Orsola, you can find some nice & small white sand beaches.

    – Arrieta :
nice restaurants in this village where you can enjoy a nice paella on a terrace with sea view

    – Costa Teguise :
great tapas at Fundeadero, typical small local restaurant

    – Arrecife :
Charco de San Gines area, nice place to have a walk & drink/tapas in the late afternoon

    – check www.villaguatiza.com, nice villa located in Guatiza, between Costa Teguise & Arrieta.

First rate suggestions from Michael. For amazing views try finding Ermita de Las Nieves. This is a small church perched high up on the cliffs overlooking Farmara beach with stunning views across the island (if it is free of clouds). I think when you are there processions will take place to it from local villages. It’s on the road between Teguise and Haria.
