Evening temperatures in June ?

Asked by: 5th May 2014

Regular visitors to CT in the winter or early Spring when we are used to wrapping up for our evening strolls. Coming over in June and just wondered what to expect, warm, barmy evenings or the usual cold breezes that necessitate cardigans or jackets? Travelling light for a change so only want to pack essential clothing so any advice would be gratefully received. Cheers.

hi gill, we are regular visitors to CT, been in January June, July, August and September over the years and we have found that we generally have had to take a light jacket, cardigan out in the evenings, though on sum occasions we have not had to it just depends what the weather is doing so best just to pack something light incase. however in some bars as you may know the provide blankets in the evening. hope this helps. enjoy your holiday. we are back CT at end of august this year. 🙂

Cheers Mike, sounds like we’ll still need our cardies then!! Haven’t come across the offer of blankets yet, might be useful to know which bars/restaurants provide as over again in November and January when it definitely can be very breezy!!

Been lots of times in June and never needed a cardi/jumper at night. If you feel the cold you might want to take one just in case but if travelling light I don’t think you’ll need one.

You’ll probably need something for coming back to the UK so you’ll probably have something with you anyway.

See you there soon, we’re back in 5 weeks.

Gill,I am with Frank on this, been CT in june many times, and have never found the need of a jumper in the evening,If on the off chance it does turn a bit cool,as has been said in a earlier post,a lot of the bars in the square supply the ladies with a shawl or blanket. enjoy your hols. Frank, will be there same time as you,buy you a pint in the Highlander, Ray.

Hi Ray hope you are well and enjoying your retirement.

I see things haven’t changed – spending my money ! I’m sure if i remember correctly you owe me a few pints.

I’d agree with Frank and Ray but I know some feel the cold more than others. I live here and my cardis and jackets are always packed away by June. In fact, some of the hottest weather I have experienced here has been in late May or early June.

We went in late May Early June one year and the weather was very hot and no need for cardis or jackets, in fact the only time we have been there and needed them is November/December

Hi gill, quite a few of the bars provide blankets in the evening, hook bar in the square, robinsons cocktail bar to name a few. I dont feel the cold if there is any but the other half does lol. Enjoy ur holiday 🙂
