Why not just tap in the dates for Jan/Feb in the hotels you have in mind and you will have your answer
I dont think they will go down as it tends to be popular in those months due to a good chance of reasonable weather

David, you misunderstand my question, i am going in May which is normally a quiet time in the Canaries,
A lot of rented apartments drop their prices for May and June and i was wondering if the Hotels would drop theirs.
I have a vague recollection that last Year when i was checking around that in Jan,Feb they were showing about 200 Euro cheaper then they were in Dec.

Just booked 10 nights in the galeon playa for €224 SC end of may, dont think you can get much cheaper than that

We usually go twice a year, always SC, but my Wife wants HB this time.
The Sands is our preferred choice at €1020 for two Weeks, just hoping that it might drop..
I know that a few are way cheaper than that but the Sands looks fabulous!

Hi Barry you asked me a question regarding the hotel Teguise Playa. We have stayed at sands also. Sands is a bit further out of town. Still close to shops and bars etc but on the outskirts of the resort. Before you book go to monarchhotels.co.uk and I’m sure you’ll get a bargain as this site charges for the room not per person. If you already have your flights you will get a week HB at the Teguise Playa for roughly £680 for the two of you in May.

Hi Barry its me again. Please feel free to ask me any questions you have regarding Sands as we have found some villas on the complex to be not as good as others.

Thanks Tracy, we spent a few days in CT last Sept and had a good look checking out a few Hotels,
Without doubt the Sands was the one that put a twinkle in my Wife’s eye, and we all know what a twinkle in a Wife’s eye means!

    Which Plazas would you recommend?

    • Tracy R on Jan 02, 2013

All plazas are more or less the same except for verde and canarias. Verde has just had the old swimming pool replaced with one which looks like it is for serious swimmers as it is laned. Not suitable for kids or a leisurely dip. Canarias is my least favourite as the upstairs apartments are of inferior quality. I have also found that the villas on the right hand sides of the plazas (if you are facing the sea ) hardly get any sun in the afternoon if you wanted to sit on your patio. Hope this helps. Have a great time wherever you decide to stay.

sands beach resort does look like a great hotel to stay in and although i have ony been inside to use the gym, my wife parents have stayed there and do reccommend it. we always stay in los zocos and sands beach is just round the corner from it and it is no where near on the outskirts of costa tequise as the shops bars and restaurants are all 5 mins walk away if that.
