We were last there in January and it was still open – January is a bit less busy anyway but looked to be doing OK – The Dolphin next door was closed for a few days holiday at the time as well

The Cutty Sark is alive and well.
We are in contact with the owners who have recently got married and are doing a lot better than last year.
    Mark and Becky own it.
Mark works mornings and Becky does most of the evening shifts.
Danny & Mel are the chefs – excellent I must add, and Turr is the regular barman of an evening.
Still a great atmosphere in there and food is excellent.
Will be there ourselves from 31st July til 14th August – especially for their Sunday roasts (reserve a table & pre order your Sunday roast as they tend to sell out very quickly) and of course their Curry night every Friday.

Were in CT May into June and visited the Cutty Sark regularly. Can echo what Karen said. We will be back next year.

Dreadful, went there in July and waited an hour for a pretty average meal. Standard of service very poor

Well I am shocked to hear this although if you waited an hr it must have been rammed in there & there is only one chef working at any one time. Most English bars on the island only have one chef cooking per shift

When I click on Lawrence Dempsey’s name I am redirected and I cannot see his profile which leads me to think he is a fake and trying to tarnish the Cutty Sark’s good reputation.

I have been visiting Costa Teguise for many years and have frequented most of the resorts pubs and eateries, I have no wish to tarnish the name of any business in the resort. I gave an honest assessment of my visit to the Cutty Sark in July this year. The wait was long and the meal average, the male member of staff spent most of his time conversing with two Dutch female customers and therefore neglected other customers.
I can only comment on my experience and the service or lack of it in the Cutty Sark, everyone is entitled to an opinion even if it differs from yours.
I would recommend Hennesey’s, Hammys. The Lighthouse or La Hacienda as much better examples of service and standards in the resort. There are of course many others of equal or better standards but in my personal experience the Cutty Sark is not one of them. I apologise if this offends anyone, but as I have stated this is my personal experience

You don’t get to be top ten out of 139 in Costa Teguise according to trip advisor with poor service etc ….

    • Lawrence Dempsey on Aug 04, 2014

Trip advisor is one opinion based on their experience on a particular day. My opinion is based on my experience on a particular day.
As I have previously stated every one is entitled to their opinion, democracy is a wonderful thing in that it allows all citizens to express their opinions freely.
I would respectfully suggest that we agree to differ, on this day in particular there are much more important issues in the universe that your or my opinion of The Cutty Sark.
