Costa Teguise lunch recommendations ?

Asked by: 21st April 2016

Hello, we’ll be arriving next week for 6 days at Costa Teguise (first time in Lanzarote). Could you recommend a nice resturant with a view that we could meet friends and have lunch. We’re expecting cloud, but hoping for sun, so would be nice to sit outside and watch the world go by, rather than on the pavement? I think the Bodega Marcelo has good reviews. Would like something traditional. Many thanks for your help. (even if it cloudy it’d be warmer than Wales at the moment! Still wearing a fleece!)

I would recommend Bacchus in the centre of Las Cucharas beach. Plenty of traditional Spanish food on the menu. Also Villa Toledo on the edge of the sea at Playa Bastian. Great views but not sure about the food.

If you are interested in tapas,I would recommend casa Felix. They do lovely tapas served on a lazy Susan at a very reasonable price. They also do small or large buckets of sangria for sharing. The restaurant terrace has a view over the car park to the sea. It is just behind villa Toledo . If Felix is there you are certain of a warm welcome.

Can I echo the casa felix comments – great choice of tapas – elevated outside terrace with sea views – we only ever visit Lanza in January – just booked flights for 2017 ! and we have been going to Felix for years – he remembers you and really appreciates our efforts at Spanish – its the first place in CT we look to visit – will be going again next January and lesson learned – their paella is freshly made – if you go at night – pre-order !

Bodega Marcelo -enjoyed our visit for a tapas meal at night – its in the shade during the day – sometimes not a bad thing !

Forgot to mention a new find for us – Casa Tomas – if you fancy a walk – head along the front and keep going towards to port area with the “gas towers” (not pretty I grant you)

The road will fork – with one going towards Ikea and one into a small settlement -at the end of the road is Casa Tomas – outside -some seats on rocky area – almost in the sea !
