Hi we stayed there last May. The Celeste is based on 3 separate, secure blocks, each block having 2 locked gates to access. The block we were in, the front gates were up a big step and down again a few more steps when u got inside, but on at least 2 of the blocks, the side gates opened up level with the pavement, leading thru to the swimming pools and the apartments. Some apartments were on that level too, although I think I remember a few steps within the ground level too, so would advise you to email the Celeste as Jayne suggested to clarify exactly what you need and if they can accommodate your needs. I think you would be OK there, my only thought is that you could possibly find it a bit tricky, trying to unlock the gate and hold it open whilst you are also trying to manoeuvre a wheelchair through it. From what I remember, they were quite heavy gates, self closing, with the keyhole quite high.
When we stayed here, it was just myself and my husband both quite mobile, but when we took our son, a wheelchair user with limited mobility, in September, we stayed at Galeon Playa. We emailed them before booking, to clarify exactly what we needed, and they replied speedily, and were very accommodating. We had a ground floor apartment, overlooking the pool, within a couple of yards from reception all wheelchair friendly. We were asked if we needed a wheel into shower, but we said no, and were given a room with a flatfish shower just maybe 2 inches step up which was fine for us. most of the roads surrounding galleon playa were wheelchair friendly too and very central to bars and not too far from the square. Enjoy it where ever you decide, its a lovely area. Angela
