Arrecife, does anyone have any suggestions what to see / do in the capital?

We are coming back to Costa Teguise in June and fancy a wander around Arrecife (been to Lanzarote 6 times but never really seen Arrecife), does anyone have any suggestions what to see / do in the capital?

The main beach – Playa Reducto is really quite nice. The shopping centre has a great Spanish feel – quite a few tapas bars along it and shops. Go up to the top floor (17th floor) in the Gran Hotel on the seafront – the glass building. There is a bar up there (very reasonably drinks) and from there you get an excellent view of Arrecife and beyond – can see Fuertaventura on a clear day. Don’t forget your camera! If you continue along the coast (providing you like walking) – it is not far to Playa Honda and is a pleasant easy walk.
Don’t forget if you are going to Arrecife for shopping, that they close for siesta so before 12 or after 4 would be the best time.

On the 17th Floor of the Gran hotel I heard tha they do coffe and a cake for €3.50 – and you get the terrific views thrown in for free.

The Gran Hotel is a treat, we had a club sandwich and a drink and I thought it very reasonable ,I think the sandwich was about 4.5 eruo but worth it just for the view.

Charco San Gines has some nice bars/cafes to sit outside and watch the world go by for a while. Also, the promenade is quite nice for more of the same. I agree that the Gran Hotel is definitely worth a visit.
